Its been a month into this website and I’m slowly learning the ins and outs on this platform called Medium. More so, getting to read everyone’s article and taking pointers on certain spots from the readings.
I’m like a freshman going into college with a huge campus not knowing where anything is.
Asking people for directions. Getting lost when I get to that classroom building and then I get more confused when I’m in the lecture and the teacher seems to be talking in Mandarin.
As you may be able to tell I’m just a young black dude looking to make my mark in this world with certain things I’m good at. And yes I’m confident. So confident that i would put an ‘and’ in the beginning of a sentence. The nerve of me.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has started this new venture. Must be thousands of new people that are brimming with hope. It’s like they are with me in this freshman experience and we must learn and grow in order to graduate. Some of us along the road may quit or fail but it’s how we make the most of our time here. It sounds like I’m talking about life in general. Which I guess I could use to some extent.
So all the freshman that are with me not only for this month but started this year lets not give up. Even when the going gets tough we could be like the Avengers of Medium. All coming together to fight the main guy Thanos, which in this term would be doubt.
If you think that speech was good wait til the Valedictorian speech four years from now.
As we head into this scary time. The freshman year on Medium. Let us hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I know I will be but I believe I will be the very best that no one ever was. If you don’t get that last sentence you may be too young to read this article.
Stay focused to the journey ahead. Not thinking of only the financial gain possibilities but also the people we will find and learn about along the way. There is no time like the present. So why not start now? Why end anytime soon? Get in it for the long haul guys. We shall be victorious!
