Can You Love Someone Too Much?

Now before I say anything, let's make something clear. This world is at an all-time high loss of love. True love. Too many of us get caught up in the feelings and the way someone looks but don’t focus on what they can really bring to the table.

However, in the rare event that someone actually loves their significant other, there may be something dangerous about loving them too much. Giving 100% of your time with someone is never healthy, although it may seem like the right thing to do in a relationship.

We get so caught up in talking on the phone for hours, kissing them, and dedicating our lives to them they start to become someone we worship. That is never good. It makes it even harder when you get a break up out of it, and you feel alone and hurt. Your heart seems torn in pieces, and you feel that you can’t live without that person—all red flags.

What needs to happen in this situation is a reconfiguration. A big change is taking time out for yourself and the friends you have. If you’re like me, there aren’t many people, but you are content with your company. Hanging out and having fun is needed in life. Separate from your partner just for a little while. Then when you see them again, you will actually miss them.

Another thing that you can do is take time out to follow something you are passionate about. It doesn’t have to be something you make money from, but as something you do in your free time. Taking on new things by yourself can be fun. Then if you want to share that with your partner, go ahead.

This keeps you as your own person as well as caring for someone you love. It is important to love someone right and with time but acting out your own interests will cause you to feel free. A sense of relief that you didn’t know you needed. And that will cause you to love even more.
